i wrote a letter today

It's not letting go and forgetting the past that helps us move forward. It's being able to look back at the past, reflect and not get upset that enables us to move forward in life. i'm trying to look back and smile not cry. i think i'm doing better.

"We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude."--Charles R. Swindoll

i love when i know things

yahoo posted a list of life lessons from movies based on high school.
the best part about this list is i have seen all the movies and love the quotes they pulled.
the quotes are:
The Breakfast Club (1985)-"We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all."
Heathers (1989)-
"If you were happy every day of your life you wouldn't be a human being. You'd be a game-show host."
10 Things I Hate About You (1999)-
"Just because you're beautiful doesn't mean you can treat people like they don't matter."
Mean Girls (2004)-
"Calling somebody else fat won't make you any skinnier. Calling someone stupid doesn't make you any smarter... All you can do in life is try to solve the problem in front of you."
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)- "Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

i may not be in high school anymore but all this still applies.
