OK so my sis was talking to me about Avatar Depression. Asking if i was depressed after seeing the movie.
i was like what the hell are you talking about.
So like all mysterious things, i googled it.
Low and Behold i found an article on CNN about AVATAR DEPRESSION (thats a link to the article).
i mean i LOVED Avatar—clearly not as much as these people.
People were genuinely upset that they did not live on Pandora. i don't mean to be a bubble burster, but umm.... it wasn't real. it is a computer made planet–very well made, but not real.
i am starting to think that people should go through some kind of brain scanner before entering certain movies. Avatar was great i really enjoyed myself both times i saw it in 3d at the movies (i know i'm a dork don't judge), but there are some people who are just not comfortable enough in their own lives to see this movie. i did not lose all hope for my own life when i exited the theater, i choose to believe this is because i have something similar to sanity.
i left the theater completely stunned by all the work and creativity that went into the movie, it truly was a work of art and the story line was way more thought provoking than the previews led on. i don't want to give away the movie, but all the media coverage about it has done that for you anyway.
The idea that the movie is against big businesses, anti-military, and anti-America is just so silly to me. The movie goes way beyond that. if the media was a person i would grab them by the shoulders and shake them yelling FOCUS.
It is true the movie isn't going around promoting destruction, military takeover, and powerful corporations, but who the hell is?!
Taking what is not yours is stealing and killing people is murder. Last i checked those are really bad things....right?
What we need to take away from Avatar is an appreciation of the world we do have—RECYCLE damnit!
We need to love our families, acknowledge and give thanks to our ancestors, for without them we would not be here. Lastly do what we know in our hearts is right, not what we are ordered to do.
I will admit i was hyped up when i left the movie theater, but i was hype about graphics, and the good messages in the film. My family has always been very big on remembering our past, learning from it, helping others, and lately recycling.
I was always the empathetic girl. i really like to believe mankind is good not evil. Avatar is one of those movies that can make you feel either way.

My point is people are crazy and Avatar was a great movie just let it be great and stop with the madness.
