officially in college

Yesterday i finished my first quarter (yes, quarters not semesters) at DePaul University!
its crazy it went by soooo fast. The quarters are only 10weeks but I swear it was shorter. It has been an interesting 10weeks.

i have moved out of my parents house, moved in with my aunt, enrolled in classes, wrote more essays than i did in my entire senior year, stayed up till 5am many times trying to finish homework, got sick 3 times, enrolled for next quarter classes, fell in love with Chicago.

it is still kinda weird to say i am in college. i knew it was gonna happen and i am enjoying being here (when i'm not up at 5am doing homework), but its weird. When i first got here i was hype because i've never had this much free time. i didn't know what do with it. Now i know. HOMEWORK—it does not control my life if i space out my work, but i'm 18, time management is still a work in progress. homework, studying, sleeping, eating, going out. its possible to do all of it if you keep a schedule which i don't. Next quarter i got this forreal forreal.

i really love being here but i cannot wait to go home and see my family and friends. i didn't think i would miss everyone so much. im going to be home for 6 weeks straight (great benefit of being on the quarter system) i already know what i want to do. TAKE PICTURES

i haven't been able to take many pictures here since my friends here have totally different schedules from me, or just have no desire to wander the city with me for hours taking random pictures.
